Tracking Scissors using reflective Lines
نویسنده
چکیده
Tracking plays an important role in Augmented Reality (AR) applications. One possibility to find and track an object is to attach a fixed arrangement of balls to it and use them to determine its three-dimensional position. Medical instruments like scissors could also be tracked that way but the ball arrangement can be disturbing while working with the instrument. For medical scissors another approach is possible to identify their position and orientation using only the legs of the instrument.

Contour Tracking based on Intelligent Scissors and Snakes
A small program is presented that compares multiple techniques for image segmentation and video contour tracking. The techniques used here are Intelligent Scissors (live wire), Snakes (active contours) using the greedy method, and Snakes using the dynamic programming method. Experimental results show the advantages and pitfalls of each technique. Once combined, the techniques available to this ...
متن کاملNear-Field Optical Reflective Sensing for Bow Tracking
This paper explores the potential of near-field optical reflective sensing for musical instrument gesture capture. Near-field optical sensors are inexpensive, portable and nonintrusive, and their high spatial and temporal resolution makes them ideal for tracking the finer motions of instrumental performance. The paper discusses general optical sensor performance with detailed investigations of ...
متن کاملEquivalence of Intensity Integration Technique with Line Summation method for Contouring of 1D Reflective Surfaces
Digital image correlation and tracking (DIC) is an optical method that employs tracking and image registration techniques for accurate 2D and 3D measurements of changes in images. This is often used to measure deformation, displacement, strain. Intensity Integration Technique and Line summation method are one of DIC Techniques. The purpose of this research is to identify the similarities betwee...
متن کاملFinding referents in time: eye-tracking evidence for the role of contrastive accents.
In two eye-tracking experiments the role of contrastive pitch accents during the on-line determination of referents was examined. In both experiments, German listeners looked earlier at the picture of a referent belonging to a contrast pair (red scissors, given purple scissors) when instructions to click on it carried a contrastive accent on the color adjective (L + H*) than when the adjective ...
متن کاملReflective Negotiating Agents for Real-Time Multisensor Target Tracking
In this paper we describe a multiagent system in which agents negotiate to allocate resources and satisfy constraints in a real-time environment of multisensor target tracking. The agents attempt to optimize the use of their own consumable resources while adhering to the global goal, i.e., accurate and effective multisensor target tracking. Agents negotiate based on different strategies which a...
